Minooka Park, Plymouth, Kansas
March 25-27, 2017
We were the only people in this 159 site campground!
Great kayaking on Wilson Lake - right out our back door!
Crystal clear water with beautiful scenery!
Dave painted his face with red rock
The rocks are pretty!
Very serene...
The park had some nice hiking trails too
Geologist loving the scenery
This rock was pretty cool! Looked like a cracked egg shell.
Wendy watching Dancing with the Stars
Took a million pictures of the sunset!
But we'll only post two!
Denver area, Colorado
April 1-7, 2017
Our campsite at Bear Creek Lake Park in Morrison, Colorado
(the path in the distance between the rv and jeep is a bike/jogging path up to the dam)
From the top of the bike path
On top of the dam. You can see Denver in the background.
Riding around the reservoir at the bottom of the path.
Red Rock Amphitheater
They had a drumming circle going on while we were there. So we got to hear some music...
but would love to see a real concert here!
Right down the middle of the stadium from the very top
We got about 4-5 inches of snow last night
Just enough to make everything look pretty!
We don't own a snow scraper anymore so Dave used our dustpan brush to clean off the jeep
What do you do on a snowy day? Go to Celestial Seasonings for a tea tour. LOL!
Tea!!
The tea story
Drinking tea in a tea cup
Lots of tea sampling along the way!
Dinosaur Ridge
Wave ripples...they used a photo of a beach in the Tampa area as an example for the environment that caused the ripple marks
Dino tracks!
So cool!
Hiked this trail in Red Rocks
In the background is the bridge up to the Red Rocks Amphitheater
So pretty!
Gorgeous views in every direction!
Rocky Mountain National Park - Estes Park
Drove to Rocky Mountain National Park - Estes Park to do some hiking
(don't know who the people are in this pic...I snapped this as we drove by).
Passed elk grazing along the road on the way
Elk
We decided to hike the Fern Lake trail to "the pool"
Beautiful day for a hike through the snow
Sign directing us to the pool
Didn't see much wildlife along the way, but the views were spectacular!
Snow melt waterfalls

We made it to the pool
The Pool
Mountain views on the drive out
Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge, Commerce City, Colorado
Bison along the road in the wildlife refuge
Coors Factory Tour
Coors Banquet bus took us to the factory
They took pictures of everyone as they entered the brewery.
We looked so silly, I had to buy the pics!
Outside of factory
Flavors and bottles in the quality control room.
The packaging room
Tasting menu for the day
You get three free tastings
Coors Light shuttle took us back to the parking lot
Occasionally things go wrong...
Our driver side slide broke when we got to Bear Creek. Dave did some investigating and saw that a cable carrier had broken. He was able to track down the manufacturer and order a part to be mailed "general delivery" to a local post office. The manufacturer sent it free of charge and Dave was able to fix the slide. We haven't had a problem since.
